Our volunteers work on a prefab stand in Pasillo de Santo Domingo. Our stand is open to anyone every day of the year, during morning, afternoon and evening.
Every morning, under the supervision a group leader, food items are collected from different points of the province (and sometimes outside it) with our van. Meanwhile, in our stand, volunteers start preparing coffee (or cocoa), sandwiches, cookies and different sweets to all those people who live on the street and come to our stand for food.
Later on, volunteers start preparing the main dish for lunch, in our stand and in the kitchen next to our stand.
A second group of volunteers arrives to our stand at noon to hand out lunch (which is composed of a main dish, juices or soda, bread and dessert).
A third group of volunteers, together with the group leader, arrives during the evening to prepare and hand out the dinner, which contains a sandwich, glass of milk or juice (depending on the season) and dessert.
These meals are handed out to people that are waiting in line to receive it, from 8:30am to 9:30am for breakfast, from 1:30pm to 2:30pm for lunch, and from 7pm to 8pm for dinner.
Every morning we start our work cleaning out the stand and its surroundings, and every evening we finish doing the same.
We also hand out clothes, shoes and blankets when we are provided with them.
